A wonderful start to an exciting new year!
Yes, the Lord is good and worthy of all our praise and honor. Even as we start another new year, He is opening doors and expanding our work, touching the
hearts and lives of more men and women.
In Vinita, Oklahoma the Lord has opened new doors there as I've taken over the work that Chaplain Rich Bartlett started plus a new discipleship outreach in the D.O.C. Center there locally. Rich has moved to develop other discipleship and training some other State facilities. Pray for his continued work. Praise the Lord for expanding work and His blessing on all He is touching. This is a great addition to the work.
Let me also share a few lines about something the Lord just recently did as Susie and I ministered in a State prison the other evening. We were overjoyed as a number of inmates were finally released from their units to come to the Chapel service. We have had recent problems with feeding and counts clearing in order to have our services. Even though we found that not all the units were allowed to attend, we still had a good number with a lot of new faces. Come to find out, a lot of new men had been transferred to the prison from other prisons, as the State system is continuing to balance their overcrowding problems.
The men responded in an exciting way to the Praise and Worship with hearts turning to the Lord. I got up and shared a short message, due to the short time limit we had, asking in my heart for the Lord to move on each heart. Well, the Lord answered my prayer and those prayers you faithfully send for us. As I completed the service with the call for men to give their lives to Christ and become Children of God, 13 men came forward to share their decisions to make Jesus their Lord and Savior! Yes, you share in each victory and look forward to guiding these men in the discipleship training. They need this to grow and be available for the Lord to work through them. Thank you for all your commitment to stand with us for their eternity. God gets the Glory, Amen!
